What music streaming costs a year
Seven services priced per year rather than per month, plus the annual prepay options three of them sell and four of them do not.
TIDAL's August 2026 price-update notice, via trade coverage — tidal.com/pricing returned HTTP 403 to our check — read on 19 August 2026.
“Not published” means we did not find a renewal price stated by the vendor on the date we checked. It is not a claim that the price changes on renewal, and it is not a claim that it doesn’t.
TIDAL raised its US prices on 3 August 2026, just over two weeks before we checked. Individual went from $10.99 to $11.99 a month, Family from $16.99 to $19.99, and Student from $5.49 to $6.99.
Twelve months at $11.99 is $143.88 a year. There is no annual prepay option that we could find.
A caveat we would rather state than bury: tidal.com/pricing returned a 403 to us on 19 August 2026, so these figures come from reporting of TIDAL’s own price-update notice rather than from a page we read ourselves. That is why the renewal column says “Not published” — it records the limit of our check, not a claim about TIDAL.
Lossless, hi-res FLAC and Dolby Atmos are included on every plan rather than sold as an upgrade.

This is a price record, not a review. We do not rate the product, we track what it charges. The method is on how we check prices; mistakes end up in the corrections log.
