What streaming costs a year in 2026
Every major service, its ad tier, its ad-free tier, the annual option where one exists, and what it renews at. Prices read from the vendors' own pages on 22 August 2026.
Netflix's Help Centre plan page — read on 22 August 2026.
“Not published” means we did not find a renewal price stated by the vendor on the date we checked. It is not a claim that the price changes on renewal, and it is not a claim that it doesn’t.
The ad-free middle plan from Netflix, at $19.99 a month, up two dollars on 26 March 2026. Keep it for twelve months and it is $239.88 — the single largest line on this ledger for one service, because Netflix is the one major streamer with no annual prepay option at all.
That absence is the whole story of this record. Every other service on the streaming ledger will take a year’s money up front and shave 10–17% off for the privilege. Netflix will not, so there is no cheaper way to buy it: the monthly number is the annual number divided by twelve, and it always will be.
One extra member can be added for $7.99 a month with ads or $9.99 without.
No free tier, and no free trial to make the first month look different from the twelfth.

This is a price record, not a review. We do not rate the product, we track what it charges. The method is on how we check prices; mistakes end up in the corrections log.
