What a meal kit costs per portion once the discount ends
Five meal kits normalised to the same six-portion week, with shipping added wherever the company will tell you what it is. Every figure read on one day.
Vendor plans page — pricing FAQ, "3 recipes a week for 2 people" — read on 25 August 2026.
HelloFresh charges weekly rather than monthly, and says so itself: “We charge weekly and not monthly.” Its own pricing FAQ gives the plan we have recorded — three recipes a week for two people — as $59.94 a box, which is $9.99 a portion. The same answer puts the company’s floor at $7.99 a serving on the largest plans.
Shipping is the gap. The promotional fine print states that a “shipping fee applies on all deliveries after the first box”, but no figure appears on the plans page; you are shown it once you have chosen a plan and reached the checkout. So the number above is food only, and your actual weekly charge is higher by an amount HelloFresh does not publish in advance.
Nothing rises on renewal. What ends is the first-box discount, at which point the list price is simply the price.
