What AI subscriptions cost a year, and what the money actually buys

Google AI Pro is $19.99 a month, listed on the App Store as “Google AI Pro (5 TB)” and read on 24 August 2026 from the in-app purchase list for the Gemini app. Twelve months comes to $239.88, and no annual prepay appeared on the list.
That puts it within a cent of ChatGPT Plus and Claude Pro when all three are paid monthly. The difference is what is bundled underneath: Google’s own plans page attaches 5 TB of storage across Gmail, Drive and Photos to this tier, plus “$10 in monthly Google Cloud credits from Google Developer Program”. If you were paying separately for cloud storage, that is the arithmetic to run before comparing the three on the sticker alone.
The same page describes the tier as “4x access” to Gemini. No renewal price was stated, so the renewal column is Not published.
