What AI subscriptions cost a year, and what the money actually buys

GitHub Copilot Max is $100.00 per user per month, read on 21 August 2026 from the vendor’s own plans page. Twelve months is $1,200.00, with no annual price shown when we checked.
The page states “$200 monthly total credits for Max” and describes the tier as “2.9x+ included usage than Pro+”. So the pattern from the tier below holds and widens: $100.00 buys $200.00 of allowance.
For anyone reading this as a bill rather than as a feature comparison, the useful consequence is that the subscription price is a floor, not a ceiling. Credits are an allowance you can exhaust, and a plan whose value is measured in credits is a plan whose cost depends on a month you have not had yet.
