“Not published” means we did not find a renewal price stated by the vendor on the date we checked. It is not a claim that the price changes on renewal, and it is not a claim that it doesn’t.

Bitwarden Premium is quoted as $1.65 a month, “Billed annually at $19.80”, and $19.80 is therefore the number that reaches your card. There is no monthly-billing option on the personal Premium plan, so there is no monthly trap to fall into here.

The thing worth noticing is what is absent. The pricing page carries no struck-through comparison price, no percentage-off badge and no coupon on the sign-up link. Nothing on it says the figure is a first-year rate. That is not a promise about year two, and we have recorded the renewal position as “not published” because Bitwarden does not state one. But a price with no advertised discount attached to it has nothing to fall off, which is more than can be said for most of this category.

The page also states that taxes are not included, and that the price is USD on an annual subscription.

Where we have written about this

This is a price record, not a review. We do not rate the product, we track what it charges. The method is on how we check prices; mistakes end up in the corrections log.
