“Not published” means we did not find a renewal price stated by the vendor on the date we checked. It is not a claim that the price changes on renewal, and it is not a claim that it doesn’t.

Backblaze Computer Backup Personal is $99 a year for unlimited data from one computer, plus the external drives attached to it. The same page offers $9 a month, which is $108 across a year, and $189 for two years, which works out at $94.50 a year.

Because the plan is unlimited, its price per terabyte is set by you rather than by Backblaze. Back up 2 TB and it is $49.50 per terabyte per year; back up 5 TB and it is $19.80; back up 10 TB and it is $9.90. Nothing else on this ledger gets cheaper the more you put in it.

The catch is structural, not financial. This is backup, not storage: it mirrors a computer you own rather than giving you a drive in the cloud to put things in, and the licence covers one machine. Two computers is two licences, so $198 a year.

No free tier and no published renewal price.
