1Password quotes Individual at $2.99 a month, paid annually, with $3.99 struck through beside it. Twelve times each gives $35.88 for the first year and $47.88 after that.
The renewal figure is not a guess. The asterisk on the price resolves to a line the vendor prints on the same page: “Promotions are limited time discounts available for new 1Password customers only for the first year with annual billing.” The sign-up button next to it carries the coupon code 25OFF1P1YR, and $2.99 is 25% off $3.99. First year, new customers, then the standard rate.
Paying monthly instead costs $4.99 a month, or $59.88 across a year — $12.00 more than the standard annual rate and $24.00 more than the first year.
There is no free tier. The trial is 14 days.
Bitwarden Premium is $19.80 a year with no discount attached to it. 1Password's advertised price is a first-year rate, and the vendor's own footnote says so. Here is the ledger, the family-plan break-even, and the three prices we could not read at all.
